Brilliant George Pal's vintage replacement (similar to stop-motion) animation Puppetoon shorts, that this is a compilation of, are a true delight. Pal had amazing imagination, and so much skill. Also the animated musicals in this compilation are excellent, filled with terrific music, outstanding instrumental talent, and wonderful singing.

Definitely the best shorts (each which is shown in its entirety) that are included are Philips Cavalcade (1934), Tulips Shall Grow (1942), Together in the Weather (1946), John Henry and the Inky-Poo (1946), Jasper in a Jam (1946), and Tubby the Tuba (1947). Until now, I don't recall ever having seen any Puppetoons. This delightful 80-minutes compilation film has turned me into a fan!
