Discuter de Steve Jobs

I'm struck by how little Fassbender looks like Jobs. Great actor, yeah, but still.

Watch the behind-the-scenes feature on the Blu-Ray and you will see that it was never Boyle's intention to cast an actor who looks EXACTLY like Jobs

Why would his intention to not cast an actor who look like the real person he was playing matter to me? It's a terrible directorial decision, regardless of his rationale.

Well, there's still the Ashton Kutcher version who arguably bares more resemblance to Jobs...

I agree that it is distracting. But would you rather have a mediocre actor who is a dead ringer to Jobs or a great actor who looks nothing like him? I think I would lean towards the latter if it was my production.

It would be ideal to cast an actor who resembles a young Steve Jobs much like Ashton Kutcher. Michael Fassbender whose acting I don't rate as anything above average isn't worth it as it would be too jarring, may as well cast Jamie Foxx in the role for all the good it would do

I'll have to disagree with you that Fassbender is merely an average actor. Especially if you take into the account the "talent" that makes it way around Hollywood nowadays.

Yeah, that was great casting. He even nailed Jobs dopey walk.

I came here to say the same thing. A great film but a terrible casting decision. Shockingly, Michael Fassbender ends up looking much more like Jobs in the last product launch...unless I have no idea what a young Steve Jobs looked like. The worst of it for me though, was that Michael Fassbender's young Steve Jobs kept coming off as Jim Carrey! Not just his looks, but even the way he decided to deliver lines...I mean, a mild Jim Carrey for sure, but Jim Carrey-ish nonetheless!
