One of my favorite features of the 1991 animated movie is the strong soundtrack. It really makes the movie perfect. And I have always liked the track from the west wing the most. It is truly a masterpiece. But it was totally absent from this movie. I didn't get half the ominous feeling from this, that I got from the animated one. Not to mention the whole wolf scene. One of my favorite moments is when we see a wolf jumping to attack Belle, and the beast picks him up, roars to him and throws him away. The timing of that scene in the animated movie is perfect. It is not even there in this movie. Without the intense music neither west wing, nor the wolf fight felt as intense. I guess the intenseness is lacking from this movie all around.
