Über Body Parts diskutieren

I recently saw this film "spoiler free" recently, and it was quite enjoyable! Eric Red ("The Hitcher") is responsible for this beautiful little b-movie gem. I love how it plays with motifs from "The Hands of Orlac" and "Frankenstein", but it never stops being its own story. When the credits started rolling, I was still on the edge of my seat. I now want to read the source material with the hopes that it might expand further on the relationships within the story. The lead of the film, Jeff Fahey, does such an amazing job acting with his eyes. He really has a handle on how to balance darkness with light. The lead character is competent and never does anything unnecessarily stupid in order to further the plot, which is so commonplace in horror films nowadays. This film has a lot of layers worthy of discussion, imo. Lindsay Duncan does a great job in portraying her character's arrogant conviction in what she was doing, as well.

Fantastic movie, which is made even greater by time with the casting of Brad Dourif. Eric Red definitely understands how horror-thrillers should work.

There is a slight hair resemblance between Jeff Fahey (in this movie) and Snake Jailbird.

Nope, not at all.

This actually does look disturbing. It'd be a gruesome experience to find that a transplanted body part has a "mind of its own."

I've heard of organ donor recipients experiencing memories of the donor of their new organ. I can't imagine the psychological torment.

It's a wonderfully gruesome little horror-thriller from the '90s that I only watch every full moon.
