How were you affected by the 2008/2009 Crash?

Did you lose your job? Home? Divorce?

I was just like Christian Bale in this movie, definitely not as scientific with the prediction of the big crash coming, but I saw just associates, affiliates pulling back down sizing from my work, so something inside of me told my team we need to start pulling away and downsizing as well. Luckily we got out to avoid most of the major damages just in time.

I did lose about 1/2 to 3/4 of my annual salary for property management costs that we could not get rid of in time. At the time I had a small condo which I owned and another one I was paying a $3,500 mortgage on that also ate up a good chunk of my savings since I was not able to sell it of course.

But I am thankful I did not become homeless or anything that extreme. I was however forced to take a huge break between jobs and that really stressed me out not having any income for almost an entire year!

Also finally how did you recover and rebound?
