It took me a second viewing to recognise Kubrick's Barry Lyndon as a (perhaps almost) masterpiece. This very promising new website features an interesting article with some fascinating on-set photographs of the production. Definitely worth a browse - there are features on a number of other classic films, too.

Barry Lyndon is another masterpiece by Kubrick.With a meticulous eye for detail and with every scene is like watching a period painting only in stead of paint Kubrick uses light.One of Kubrick's underrated gems.
