I'm catching up with old 90's movies that I've somehow overlooked and tonight it was time for some Nick Nolte. He's always been one of my favorite actors and after seeing Q & A I'm reminded why. His character stayed with me long after the end credits and I still can't shake his voice, his demeanor. Timothy Hutton was 30 when filming this but I could have sworn he was fresh out of high school. Those innocent, frightened eyes, I just wanted to reach out and hold him 😊
I thought the movie was good, especially the acting. Some of the script was awful but I can live with that as long as they delivered the lines convincingly. Armand Assante has an important scene where he gets to show the world what a brilliant actor he is.
In short, (if you haven't seen it) a dirty cop vs young ADA movie with a twist. It's a little more complex than that and it's what makes this movie so interesting and keeps you thinking about it for hours afterwards. Go see it if you can.

I agree with all that you said. A very good crime drama with a realistic ending (in that not every crook gets brought to justice). My only other complaint was the soundtrack which is awful. 7/10
