Likely because he's rich and his parents have influence. Didn't mean he was a participating member, it seems more like he was regulated to be an alternate (ie. bench warmer).

For the same reason Donald Trump is president. Any dumb ass can get what they want if they have enough money and influence. Even if they are dumber than a bag of hammers and have the speech patterns of a 5 years old mixed with an 80 year old with dementia.

This version of Flash isn't a jock at all. It goes along with the new breed of bully: the spoiled rich kid. Much more annoying than the jock bully in my opinion.

Its like Chad on friday the 13th the game. The character doesn't do much, his only advantage is luck and he's prancing through the woods like a deer. Flash was way better used in Tobey's movie

It's a nice twist on his character. It's good that we know that Flash is arrogant and intelligent instead of just a jock.

Yeah, he does come across more as a thick rich kid than intelligent. I am curious where they plan on taking the character though since Tom Hardy's Venom is basically picking up much of Flash's story.

I don't know which cinematic Flash you're talking about, but this version of the Peter Parker bully in homecoming didn't come across the slightest bit intelligent. He was a thick rich kid.

I was wondering why he was at this school. Besides being rich. Unless you believe all Indian people are always smart. Frankly i think the worst version of Flash Thompson. The Real Flash Thompson would take this Flash Thompson and dunk his head in a toilet bowl for a full hour. And i really don't care if Bulling has changed. And that i even doubt that. Its not human don't have history of violence to each other. And Teenagers tend to be the least rational. Now im suppose to believe that all High School Bullies are now Buddhist.
