He was great in this. Why's he been wooden as hell for all these years?

Yes, he was good in this.

He was okay in this film but I wouldn't say he was great - he did what was required of him, and I did like the film quite a lot, but his performance certainly hasn't stuck in my mind a few months on as one of the main reasons why.

I guess his work seemed so impressive because in the past, even when involved in good projects (Queer as Folk, Nicholas Nickleby...) he has, indeed, always been rather poor.

He was in Queer as Folk? I had no idea. Was that the actual British version. Or is there an American version I didn't know about?

He has always been a talented actor.

I liked him in Undeclared. But I can't think of anything else. I think I just find he sounds wooden when he puts on an American accent.

I have to disagree.

Yes, he was one of the three leads in the original 1999 British series. There was an American version a couple of years later, although I never saw that one.

I agree with this assessment...he was just "serviceable" at best...not a mind blowing role. Wondering how it would've turned out had producer, Brad Pitt performed the role as originally planned.

Best role for Hunnam was in the show Sons of Anarchy, hands down!!!! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the film Pacific Rim, but not because of him, because of big robots fighting big monters! rofl

I'd now add that I thought he was very good in The Gentlemen. There was a lot of good performances in The Gentlemen.

Check out Triple Frontier. Can't say much about the film but his performance was pretty good.
