After more than 40 years, this film takes Pierre Brice and Ralf Wolter back to the original locations of the legendary Karl May films. In impressive images, locations such as the Plitvice Lakes, the Mali Alan rock massif, the Zrmanja plateau, the Krka waterfalls and other filming locations are visited.

Die Produktion der Kulmbacher Firma Kama Media führt „Winnetou“ Pierre Brice und „Sam Hawkens“ Ralf Wolter nach über 40 Jahren zurück an die Originalschauplätze der legendären Filme. In eindrucksvollen Bildern werden Schauplätze wie die Plitvicer Seen (der legendäre „Silbersee“), das Mali Alan-Felsmassiv (der charakteristische Goldberg „Nugget-tsil“), das Zrmanja-Plateau (Standort des Apachen-Pueblos), die Krka-Wasserfälle (die Kaskaden, an denen einst wichtige Filmszenen entstanden) und andere Drehorte besucht.
