Bespreek Once Upon a Time in America

Morricone's long and illustrious career has given the cinema many memorable scores, and a few that are truly iconic. But I feel that this may well be his masterpiece. Having just watched the entire four-hour plus director's cut of Sergio Leone's elegiac epic, the music lingers in my mind. Absolutely breathtaking, unique and at times wonderfully strange, this has to be one of the finest film scores ever - even the unexpected incorporation of The Beatles' Yesterday is pitch perfect.

Robert peeking from the bathroom peek hole right till the movie setting changing to the 1920's where Jennifer is dancing was awesome.

That was a beautiful scene in a film packed with them. Such a glorious visual experience.

I think Ennio's score for this movie is his best, better than The Mission, Cinema Paradiso or Once upon a time in the West. Deborah's Theme which you hear when the Young Noodles is spying on Deborah dancing is incredible, but heart breaking; but then there is nothing happy about this movie!
