Made me want to find the the grave of Ray Kroc and take a dump on it.

I agree with you here, sorta. The brothers weren't perfect, either. They certainly did not see the opportunity that Kroc envisioned but, look, if you don't want to do business with someone, isn't that your prerogative? Are you obligated to do things you don't want to do with your name and your product?

At the end of the day it was business, nothing more.

Cutting them out of their 1% isn't just "business", it's a man who is not of his word, and this willingness to compromise values is what made it easy for him to compromise quality. Yes, they got $1M, but the deal was for the $1M and the 1%. It's not about the money, it's about integrity, a deal is a deal.

Having said that, I never eat at McDonald's because their food is garbage.

Again, thank Ray Kroc for that. Remember the line "Ice cream has real cream in it, Ray!"?
