Overview

발칸 전쟁이 한창이던 1912년. 니콜라스 페리데스 장군은 미국인 종군기자 올리버 데이비스와 함께 아내의 묘지가 있는 섬을 방문한다. 하지만 아내의 묘지는 오래 전에 약탈된 뒤였고 섬에 퍼진 전염병 때문에 그들은 전쟁터로 돌아갈 수도 없게 되었다. 전염병으로 섬 사람들이 한 명씩 죽어가는 동안 페리데스 장군은 서서히 광기에 휩싸인다. 그는 그리스인 간호사인 테아가 그리스 식 흡혈귀인 브리콜라카라고 의심하기 시작하는데...
