He thinks that real life human clones are worthless and needs to be killed compared to their human/robotic ones. Until robot Bill and human Bill convince him other wise

They didn't run a very tight ship on that workplace. Apparently you can just carry millions of dollars worth of very integral components to your home and nobody misses them.

I was fasinated with the idea of how a replicant could be just like the person it replaced. Now that's something I would like to relate to! As far as the movie is concerned, it was typical in the way where a inventor had to show real progress, or the program (company) that had invested billions of investors dollars would have to pull the project if they didn't have anything to show for all that investment. Of course in movies like these, the owner of the company has no idea how close the inventor really is at making a breakthrough.

Imagine if the experiments of Technicolor had to be stopped early and completely pulled after spending millions of investor's money when they too at one time really didn't have much to show for it except lots of failed attempts. Imagine if most or all movies were still being recorded in B&W. I'm sure color would have came to the movie screen at one point, but it certainly wouldn't have had happen as early as it did without the sacrifice (and the education) of those who worked hard for many years to help bring color movies to the theatre.

On the other hand I could say it certainly was colorful what Keanu Reeves (Will Foster) ended up doing to his family.

To be fair, his boss caught Ed disposing of the bodies and blackmailed him into helping his friend because it will "motivate him". Ed literally says it in the end.

Also, you drastically undermined how incompetent big corporate entities are. The fact that they were able to walk out with millions of dollars worth of equipment is actually very believable.

Source - I work at a big company. No one gives AF. People just think about their plans for the weekend. They only care if it comes back to them.

You guys looking for a plot hole? How about the whole Zoe thing? If it only takes 17 days, he could have just waited until he was done with one of the three pods and then brought her back. All he had to do was wipe her from his family's memory until her clone was done.

If they didn't want clones, why did they have the pods in the first place? If the friend could get another pod by the next quarter, why did Bill resign himself to the idea Zoe was gone permanently?

I was expecting something predictable like Pet Sematary with clones, so this was an interesting switch. The ability to erase specific memories seemed contrived, and I wish the wife had come back with darker hair that matched her roots and eyebrows, it would have been a nice touch.
