Discuss Captain Marvel

THE GOOD;

Brie Larson.

The de-aging FX for actors (like the de-sizing of Evans in The First Avenger) is SO good you stop noticing it.

Goose the cat... Sorry, Flerken.

90s soundtrack.

The reveal of how Fury lost his eye. I know some people hate it but not me!

THE BAD;

Jude Law. Never rated him as an actor

Ronan the Accuser's pointless appearance.

The Skrulls as good guys (and then doubling down on it in Spider-Man: Far From Home)

Carol "Avenger" Danvers? 😖

A very entertaining film.

I enjoyed the revelation of how Nick lost his eye! It was funny, and it was like deconstructing Nick's image too. I don't mean it was a literal deconstruction, but I had always imagined that he lost the eye in some ultra-macho situation, like a scrap, or a gunfight, what have you. NOPE - a cat scratched him, ha ha!!

Hands down the WORST MCU film...worse then the forgettable Thor: Dark World! f anything, Brie Larson should be a "bad"...she sucks in it, no emotion!

But how does it compare to WandaVision?

About Jude Law -- I laughed out loud at his final "match" with Carol. No match at all - he tried to get her to not use her powers and fight according to his terms, and... you know the rest. Funny!

I can't believe when I was listing the good things I missed out this wonderful tribute!

Thank you Stan

Fury's rubber-face was distracting. I liked how they took Josh Brolin for young Tommy Lee Jones in MIB3 instead. Nowaday's de-aging is like 90ies digital effects. Still far from perfection.
