I often hear on the internet, that Marvel should stop making superhero movies. I've been thinking of how to answer that, so I ask what kind of non-superhero movies do you want Marvel to make with their properties? A Pasty and Hedy teen rom com? A Miss Betty Bliss movie about her teaching underprivileged kids? A Rawhide Kid western? A fashion movie starring Millie the Model? Would you see those? What are your ideas?

Whenever I hear someone say Marvel should stop making superhero movies, I always wonder WTF do you think they should make instead? The company has been making superhero comics since 1941s. Would your really watch it if they did a movie about their non-superhero titles? So I thought I'd ask.

The reason why I jumped on the idea of a She Hulk movie before is because it's rad, different. I thought it'd be a good idea, better than a TV show, really.
Just tell more realized (IMHO) stories without that cookie-cutter feel to them....

What does "cookie cutter" mean in regard to the MCU?

SPOILER AHEAD...
I'm referring to the way all of the films look so similar to each other... the directors' individual styles are reined in, so that you feel kind of like you're reading a series with different writers. And in this issue, we find out that Nick Fury lost his eye to an alien kitty... but the look stays very much the same from film to film.
I'm also thinking of the long-running continuity from movie to movie.... which I have enjoyed.

So they want a movie company to stop making movies? That's just insane! It's like asking a weapons manufacturing company to stop making weapons.

Nah, I'm being sarcastic. I just got in a conversation with a guy who was saying that Marvel is now oversaturating the market, and I pointed out to him that they've only announced 1-2 movie releases each year in their schedule (the same they've always have done). Also they just pretty much cancelled all their tv shows with only 1 or 2 left to finish out their last season (still unsure if there will be a Runaways season 4, but it's doubtful). The Disney+ announcements is just Disney trying to fill their new streaming network with content as quickly as they can to be competitive against Netflix, and those will only be about 8 episodes each. They aren't really oversaturating anything. If anything, they're under developing and putting all eggs in one basket at the moment during the new transitions at Marvel.

Not digging too much on what's going on with the next possible "phase"..especially the insertion of their Disney+ TV Shows into the narrative (these should remain separate entities), its already getting to the point where regular Joe Schmoe moviegoer can't pick an MCU movie without having seen at least 5 or 6 others before it! And then they're getting chucked into SPACE?!? I dunno...
Infinity War/EndGame was the definitive superhero team up movie..PERIOD! There's no way to outdo it, and they shouldn't try. They should go smaller and simpler, but eh, what do I know, I'm sure if an "Ass" is put on screen for 90 minutes and a 'Marvel" logo is slapped in front the masses will still show up!

I don't know what they SHOULD do. I can only say that personally, I am beyond fatigued with super hero films. I've always been a fan of super heroes since I was a kid, but lately I can't really get too interested.
The last few I was genuinely interested in were Black Panther, Ant-Man & Wasp and Doctor Strange. I was disappointed with Spider-Man Far From Home, and slightly underwhelmed by Joker.
Nowadays, I am in no rush at all to see the next Marvel comic book film, whenever it does come out. That's just my take.

Hate to say it, but I think Scorcese is on to something, superhero films are currently the "in" thing (the way Westerns were back in the day), but the problem is..OVERSATURATION! Too many coming out too quickly. The BIGGEST one being Disney/Marvel..4 movies and 2 TV shows in 2021..really!??! They really wanna print they're own money! Thank goodness Last Jedi sucked & Solo failed because we'd be getting 5 SW movies a year too.
For what its worth, Joker wasn't a "typical" superhero movie..so I'd hardly group it with the rest (and I expect tons of Oscar wins), but the men & woman in spandex...its getting played out.

Endgame kind of burned me out. It was so long and corny. It had something like 20 minutes of action in it, too. I haven't seen the new Spider-Man film yet... I figure I'll wait until it comes out at the video store. It may already be there. I do have some interest in it....

I felt the same way mostly with Endgame. It was such a lengthy film. I don't hate it, but I think it might be the last "big" film I see for a while. The main issue I had with Spider-Man: Far From Home was that I just didn't enjoy it as much as Spider-Man: Homecoming from 2 years earlier. The main heel was cool though.

The main "heel?" Are you referring to the Flash character? This is unclear.
