Not while he had the Space stone he couldn't. Teleporting him into space will just have him teleport back. You don't die instantaneously in space, especially if you're alien in the MCU. Both Quill and Gamora have survived short times in space without any protection.

Oh you mean during Endgame. For some reason I thought you were talking about Infinity War for some reason. Sorry hadn't slept yet. Anyway, even if he was teleported to space, it doesn't guarantee it would kill him. Most aliens have shield tech that lets them survive space (Quill does, so do most Kree). It would be way easy for him to get back on one of his space whales.

Even without a single Infinity Stone, Thanos is stronger than the Hulk and among the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe, Doctor Strange is just a "puny human" by comparison. The idea that Strange, or anyone, could just push Thanos around is just ignorant.

no muscle needed. just magical teleportation to one inch away from a eg ten million degrees fahrenheit sun or star?

I'm not talking about physical strength. Can a man push a god around? You don't know what the hell you're talking about! If Strange even tried such a thing, Thanos would laugh and say 'what are you trying to do wizard?' then picked up Strange by the throat and given him the Loki treatment.

Wouldn't have worked presumably. Remember that Dr Strange already looked through millions of futures and there was only one way to win.

Sigh.....it's like you didn't even watch the movie.
Thor is powerful, yes, but Thanos is far more powerful. Even without a single Infinity Stone, Hela beat the crap out of Thor, and Thanos could beat the crap out of Hela, and he wouldn't need a single Infinity Stone.
At any rate, you seem to have missed the point that Thor's story arc from Ragnarok through Endgame is that he is a broken man, he feels defeated, he is overcome by trauma and grief, he is consumed by guilt, completely loses all of his self-confidence and he lacks the will to fight, which is why, when we meet him in Endgame, he has become so consumed with despair that he becomes a total alcoholic. I don't care how powerful you are, if you lost self-confidence have become consumed with alcoholism and don't have the will to fight, you're not going to be an effective warrior.

It's part of the spell Odin put on the hammer. "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Cap could lift the hammer because the magic placed on the hammer deemed Steve Rogers worthy of wielding it, and he was able to control lightning because he was given the power of Thor as per spell.

It comes directly from the comics and was foreshadowed by the hammer lifting scene in 'Age of Ultron', if you recall when Cap went forward to lift the hammer, the hammer actually started to budge, and Thor had a shocked look on his face at which point Cap let go. Either he knew he could lift it but decided not to show off, or was only slightly worthy at the time but not fully so. Or maybe he wasn't able to lift it at that time because his motives were not noble, he was only trying to show off.
In the movies, we saw three, other than Thor who could lift Thor's hammer: The Vision (in the Age of Ultron), Groot (in Infinity War) and now Cap in 'Endgame'. In the comics, others who could lift the hammer include Beta Ray Bill (who was the first one other than Thor who could lift it) and Superman (in a DC/Marvel crossover).

Where does the movie say that Cap never had any kids?

In the comics, people lifting the hammer gained all of Thor's powers as well as a costume resembling Thor's. In one early What If comic, Jane Foster discovers the hammer before Don Blake does and becomes the female equivalent of Thor. She ends up marrying Odin (really).

Thor's story arc from Ragnarok to Endgame is that as a result of his first ever defeat, and not just defeat, but defeat after defeat after defeat, he becomes despondent and loses the will to fight. But if that was where it ended, it would be boring. By the end of Endgame, his confidence is restored and he's finally ready to do something other than spend all day getting drunk and get his ass off the couch playing video games and is ready to go back to the superhero business by joining the Guardians of the Galaxy and presumably going to kick some bad guy ass again.
In fact, every one of the heroes goes through the same story, they suffer their first defeat in Infinity War and become despondent, they don't know to react to this defeat, they all lose self-confidence but eventually find it again by the end of the movie. But with Thor, it is worse because he didn't just lose in Infinity War, right before Infinity War began he spent 2 hours getting his ass kicked over and over again in Ragnarok, so he was ALREADY at the 'depressed and despondent' stage before Infinity War even began, Infinity War just made it worse.

If you are going to complain about things like this, why don't you worry about the fact that 10+ years after inventing the Iron Man suit, Stark and Rhodey are still the only ones using these suits. I mean cap is still using a metal shield as a frisby. If you were going to make the fights real-life realistic and logical, it would spoil the whole fun. If you can't accept things like this, you are watching the wrong genre.
