Who said anything about "being cool with it"? The fact is, that when there is violence in a relationship, it is almost never one sided. A relationship which becomes toxic and degenerates into frequent violent encounters usually involve violence on both sides.

How do you explain the pictures of her from when she finally reported him to the police which clearly show her as having been brutally beaten up? Are you going to argue that she somehow deserved it?

The fact that he wasn't violent in previous relationships is irrelevant, in his previous relationships, he also wasn't driink and/or high 95%% of the time. Severe drug and alcohol addiction can radically change a person's behavior.

The fact that there may have been violence on both sides doesn't mean that Depp wasn't a violent psychotic during the time he was with her.

And judging from this, it was when she was getting physical and he wanted to get away. You must not have ever been involved in something like this, where one partner gets physical and the other tries to leave the situation, guess what, its not happening unless you physically remove the aggressor from your path.
