On the Blu-Ray and DVD there are several "Extras" with the Trinity being one of them. While listening to the various commentaries and remarks from previous writers one can only get the sense that the DCEU has found an anchor and a voice for DC's universe in Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is contrasted and compared to the two alpha males of the Trinity and for me there appears to be a clear direction into her character that ascends above not only Superman and Batman but also above the DCEU. As Iron Man did for the MCU haphazardly Wonder Woman is preprogrammed and designed to be above the fray. Not as a SJW (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with that perspective) but WW transcends that pedestrian archetype that has been cast as a pejorative rather than an affirmation of equality for all.

Warner/DC has found the one thing that the DCEU so sorely lacked and that was a defining character. Superman/Kal-El had been emotional stunted and Batman/Bruce had been pigeonholed while WW became aspirational. Maybe it was by design because she was hampered by just having to be female with a name like Wonder Woman.

Suddenly the DCEU has been restored as something that is worth viewing for something other than being bombastic around the antics of having superpowers in a world teetering towards destruction. Wonder Woman is the messiah that the DCEU needed. The Flash is a joke. Supes is an emotionally stunted manchild. Batman suddenly is a confused revenge addict.
