I've been around awhile, and I can tell that women are people just like the rest of us. ( 4 out of 5 times anyway) The problem I have had with almost all female superheroes is that they have to turn to the camera and say "have you noticed she's female?..and competent?! It's like they haven't gotten out of the 1960's
Thus my question.

I feared something like this. I did not feel like it was swinging an agenda around. I liked it.

nah.
if you're hypersensitive to it a couple things might raise your hackles a bit but it's all completely lore-appropriate.

I assumed it would but no, it really didn't. I think it's helped that it's set in the 20s so it feels completely natural in the context of the movie when a couple of really minor comments are made when she first shows her skills.
You genuinely feel that you're watching superhero movie rather than a "female superhero movie".
Having said that I'm sure you'll find a few people who will complain about feminist propaganda

My only other problem is: But it' a DC movie! They manage to suck the fun out of every thing.

They do it because feminist women have no confidence.

I understand that there's a line in the film where the head Amazon on the island says that a man is good for procreation and nothing else. It sounds like they're saying that a man is only good as a sperm donor and something like that seems like something that could rub someone the wrong way.

No. There is a point where WW comments about her knowledge of "pleasures of the flesh" and how she read all 12 volumes of sumthin sumthin. She tells Steve that the author reveals that men are not even necessary for pleasure. It's a funny scene. Steve is putting slight moves on her after trying to be chivalrous and her comment only serves to drive him further. I didn't feel like it was a feminism chop. It was more like what you'd expect from an island that has no men. Themiscerian propaganda.

Much of the Promos/Marketing/Appearances seem to be feminist heavy, that is enough for me to opt out personally.
I normally just wait til DVD release and torrent it if it seems like something that force feeds social commentary, at least in this decade when it's less of a motif and more of a conditioning feature, "chicks rock too!" movies in 2017 are much different than they were in the 90's and mid 2000s.
Let us know how it goes, I'd love to hear an opinion from someone who goes in expecting to roll their eyes at social justice fluff because a lot of people who don't share this mindset might not even recognize the onscreen shilling.

I actually think there's a strong degree of feminism in it, but it just depends how one defines feminism. If by "feminism" people are really saying "misandry," then no, I don't think it's feminist. If by "feminist" we mean that there's a strong female lead character, then yes, I would say it's feminist.
My problem with some types of feminism is when it is veiled misandry but takes on the name "feminism."

That was me, and I was pleasantly surprised. The trailers had me convinced it would hit me over the head but when I saw the complete scenes, they made sense. For some reason Steve's secretary walking down the street carrying the Amazon sword and shield was fun for me. (Humor is subjective.)

Yes it's a movie infested with feminazi agenda crap, any PC driven movie is an automatic skip for me. I'm really glad it's not that successful in Europe where I'm from.

yep, female lead superhero movie, directed by a woman, feminist jibes, re-writing history by showing us a woman single handedly won the war....and don't get me started on the casting of and character of aries.....look, i think if the movie had been stronger, these things wouldn't have irked me as much, but when you rely on this stuff, and have a 3rd act which doesn't know its arse from it's elbow, its bound to be noticed. gal/ww deserved a stronger origin movie and was let down by a female director & her agenda ultimately.
