I doubt that It'll go down like that. Chris Pine said himself that he wouldn't take the role if it would go the direction that you think it would.

I never was a fan of Chris Pine and based upon the trailer, his character really is unnecessarily. Wonder Woman doesn't need a lame sidekick.

She needs a love interest, though, right?

He wasn't a "damsel in distress", they complimented each other and show how a man can support a strong woman and doesn't take anything away from his own masculinity and ability.
