Ugh where to start. First off Id like to say that it was pretty nice for the director and producers to try something new with the zombies genre. But this just didnt work. It seemed like they just didnt have a budget and whatever budget they had they blew on the cast and one location. Almost zero character development and most of that was in flash backs. Most random sex scene, but they should have paid Dormer more so she would get naked. She did what she could with what little she had to work with. Smith as the lead sucked, not very charismatic or lead man material in this one. Tucci was awesome, needed more of him, def stole every single scene he was in. And I was pleasantly surprised by Deyn as Janet. Stupid decisions all around like most horror films. But what really killed it was the lack of story. Wish we got more on the characters and how they got there. Seemed like they just didnt have enough money or time. The cinematography was pretty good and the lighting was actually very well done. The pacing was pretty fast even in the 'slow' sections. The CGI gun shots and fake muzzle flashes killed it for me, how hard can it be to get squibs and some blanks? And dont expect much from the end, rushed as hell and left opened ended...but in a bad way. Anyway a 5/10 for me only. Had high hopes from the trailer for it but was left really disappointed.
