Discuss Kidnap

I mean even if you look past the generic and rather mundane plot you still have a very mediocre cliche ridden movie with zero innovation and originality. I estimate perhaps at least half of this movie is Halle Berry's character in vehicle pursuit of another vehicle. Apparently during those driving sequences the movie setting changes into some kind of post apocalyptic USA where everybody is dead because the streets and roads are completely empty in every second driving sequence and Halle Berry and the kidnappers are free to run around and crash their cars and occasionally other people's cars as well and nobody seems to care and police are nowhere to be found.

i think the movie was alittle too much driving not enough progression. I get it they are fleeing and your catching them but add some more elements to keep it interesting

Ridiculous is right. She had a chance to run the guy down and get her son. Stupid.

THANK YOU!!! I knew I wasn't the only one yelling at the screen for her to run him over!

So, apparently, this mother of the year who kept doing the "Marco Polo" thing while on the phone, didn't have the foresight to actually face towards the kid while on the phone call? This movie was 1 hour and 21 minutes long and it was still full of padding. Such as slow-motion scenes, scenes of just driving, etc. It's no wonder the movie sat on the shelf for 2 years before being released.
