I just watched this last night. Am I the only one who thinks it's a bad sequel? Nowhere near as exciting as the first. Now I'm no magician, but the magic tricks were also so ridiculously impossible, it made them less impressive.

Agreed. This film also delved too far into being something of a secret spy movie instead of a group of magicians. The original was great, the sequel was lacking. It was overwhelmingly mediocre.

I agree. We thought the first one was really good so as soon as part 2 came out we went to the theater to see it. We went with another couple and all four of us walked out disappointed.

Yeah the "magic" was too contrived / unbelievable. And disappointed that Isla Fisher (with some pretty lame excuse of leaving Atlas) and Melanie Laurent didn't return.
Having said that, it was still mildly enjoyable to kill a couple of hours.
