Agreed. This film also delved too far into being something of a secret spy movie instead of a group of magicians. The original was great, the sequel was lacking. It was overwhelmingly mediocre.

I agree. We thought the first one was really good so as soon as part 2 came out we went to the theater to see it. We went with another couple and all four of us walked out disappointed.

Yeah the "magic" was too contrived / unbelievable. And disappointed that Isla Fisher (with some pretty lame excuse of leaving Atlas) and Melanie Laurent didn't return.

Having said that, it was still mildly enjoyable to kill a couple of hours.
