Based on a true story, "House On The Hill" is a true crime melodrama with strong horror elements, chronicling the outrageous 1980s murder spree of serial killer Leonard Lake, who would target, kidnap, rob and kill people - and even whole families. Sonia, the only survivor of Lake's killing spree, teams up with a private investigator to help him locate a woman who disappeared into Lake's compound. In the process, Sonia recounts the horrors of the house, where Lake and his accomplice would force her to videotape the killings.

Baserad på den sanna historien om seriemördaren Leonard Lake som under 80-talet löpte amok, kidnappade, rånade och mördade på löpande band. Ibland hela familjer på en och samma gång, och Sonia är den enda som överlevt att av Leonards mordförsök och hjälper nu mordutredare att hitta en kvinna som nyligen försvunnit in i Leonards värld. Under utredningen får Sonia återuppliva de bestialiska minnena ifrån huset hon hölls fången i när hon tvingas bevittna videoinspelningar av morden.

In der Folgezeit entführen sie Frauen und teilweise komplette Familien, um sie sexuell zu versklaven, zu foltern, irgendwann umzubringen und im Hinterhof zu verscharren. 1985 fliegt die Sache auf, als Lake wegen illegalen Waffenbesitzes verhaftet wird. In seinem Besitz findet die Polizei Videos, die die Verbrechen dokumentieren.
