You beat me to it!! After a 35 year cinema ban, Saudi Arabia decides to open it doors to cinema entertainment again and Black Panther is the 1st movie they chose to break that ban. That is really amazing It may be in their theatres for only a few days but it is still history making.

Technically it was the Emoji movie and Captain Underpants that premiered at a film festival before AMC's extravaganza and Red Carpet for BP. Like China BP will no doubt be censored by the Saudi Film board that screens all releases. It remains to be seen if Shuri's 1-finger salute will be allowed to be shown.

I wonder how many bothered to watch Emoji or CU. I doubt it was of any significance because BP is the one making huge headlines about breaking the 35 year ban. I'm glad BP got the real treatment with the extravaganza and red carpet because it is indeed a huge movie and has made a lot of impact. Very well deserved

The 1-finger salute was lost on me even though I have watched BP ####times Those are minor things that are drowned out by many significant and entertaining parts of the movie. I doubt it will matter whether or not it is allowed in the movie. There's so much in BP that will be highly entertaining to that audience. The new king is making a breakthrough in Saudi Arabia in terms of giving women more rights so I am definitely sure this movie will resonate with the women when they see how women are portrayed in BP. Great choice
