judging by other, more adolescent boards than this one, it seems once the movie was actually released and people saw it for what it is rather than what it was hyped and feared to be, the fuss dyed down... The controversy and posts were quite intense before release...

I miss how new release movies would get a page of posts per minute.

i find the posts on this forum more considered and generally have a higher good post to drivel ratio than IMDB or any of the alternatives to be honest...

From what i've seen I think it probably would be a few posts talking about what the movie actually is, a decent Marvel movie with some social commentary, surrounded by ones started by idiots from both sides (liberal, alt-right) trying to make some kind of political message movie that they're either heavily for or against.

Oh God the amount of bitching would be insane. The SJWs would be swarming and frothing at the mouth waiting for the next person who didnt agree that this is the best film ever. Remember, if you dont like certain films you are a racists/bigot/sexist/fascist. Good times on those boards for sure.

Really? Cause all I remember is SJWs crying about everything. Not enough women, not enough minorities, not enough women and minorities behind the camera, to many white people, why is the lead a white straight male, why isnt Captain America a gay trans women from the middle east...you know shit like that.

It's very active, but mostly very juvenile.. There are archived posts from imdb and some good commentators aside from the people discussing inanities and politics, but no movie database and the average quality of post on TheMovieDB is much higher...

Whatever I post there, I also post here... I prefer it here and I think will be higher quality in the long term.

I think some of the more insightful posters on that forum also post here...
