I appreciated how Marvel has developed Doctor Strange into a formidable superhero in his own right, clearly capable of holding his own among the other personalities, egos and capabilities of the Avengers.

But, the way he was man-handling both Thor and Loki seems over the top. I mean, what chance would any villain have against him alone, let alone him with the rest of the Avengers' combination of brains and brawn?

Put another way, each hero seems to have some weakness, some vulnerability that can be exploited (hence why they teamed up at all as, alone, as individuals, they are insufficient to meet the challenges from evil).

So, what is Doctor Strange's weakness? (clearly, I am among the movie audience demographic that has not read or followed any actual Marvel comics to know who Doctor Strange originally is. So, if you're going to cite the comics, go easy on me, because the movies are written to sell tickets beyond your hardcore comic readers, and the success of the films' reach beyond that core comes, unfortunately, with people like me asking questions that people like you might feel are dumb.
