I watched the trailer twice over at IMDb, and wow, is it brilliant! Full of action with Zep's crushing music in it, and it even has humor. I am officially psyched for this film. I think I understand how Waititi's humor works: he takes a moment so awful, and finds the humorous side of it. Instead of the moment being terrible, he makes it amusing.
Something just dawned on me. If indeed Hela is the Mistress of Death that Thanos might just be lusting over, Thanos is a TOTAL misanthrope!! From the trailer Hela is a bad-mofo that gets right to clanging the cowbell in complete rhythm. Thanos is more akin to Scar as a Lion King because as he said it is the lioness who do the hunting. If this is true to Marvel canon she would spurn this dweeb as incompetent and ineffectual when it comes to making it rain for a reign. She doesn't need him. She doesn't need his stone-less Gauntlet. She clearly doesn't need a mate without Stones!!

Hela is one hela-of-a villain.
Hela is boss-level business. Thus far, I am deeply impressed by Marvel's and Waititi's treatment of the character.
Opening with the destruction of Mjolnir was a mission statement. It was Waititi's way of saying the first two were cute but, this time around, we mean business.
i really like waititi's work a lot, but i have wondered if his directing style is suited to thor. having seen this trailer i still have my doubts. perhaps i am the only person that was underwhelmed by it. having hela catch mjolnir immediately reminded me of the winter soldier trailer so any wow factor was non existent. it's been done. then there was the humour, which works in waititi's slice of life type stuff that he has done before, but felt out of place here. i did not care for the humour in the dark world, which felt forced, and i was ready, given that ragnarok is meant to be the end of everything, for a much darker tone to this film. even the hulk reveal felt tired. how many times have we seen protagonists leap into the air as they are about to throw down? that has also been done. to death. i think it would be in my best interests to lower my expectations for this film. sorry to be a downer but i am not excited for this.

Bucky threw Cap's shield back at him - like a boss. Hela halted and then obliterated Mjolnir. That makes her a next-level boss in my book. I initially wanted a darker tone for Ragnarok (and I'd be lying if I didn't admit that there is still a small part of me that still wants that). Here's the thing - Thor: Ragnarok is not the Ragnarök of Norse Mythology. They share some DNA like Thor from the Norse myths and Thor the superhero but, in the end, the myth and the comics are two different things.
I dig Marvel's approach here. Hela looks fantastic. The mashup of Asgardian myth and legend with Star Wars-type space opera is nothing short of thrilling. If they'd have done the Ragnarök we were all hoping for it would have been predictable, stodgy and overly reminiscent of what WB is doing with their gloomy heroes.
The Hulk vs Thor clash is not a big selling point for me and it looked a bit unfinished but, I'm happy as fuck to see two of the most powerful Avengers in a film together.
Marvel's willingness to explore while staying true to thier brand is freaking awesome. I don't know if this will be good or not but, they certainly have my attention.
absolutely sick trailer. cant wait. looks amazing. except Hulk part. how they made him ware that armor and helmet. so they are stronger than Hulk? wth?

I assume they promised him a passage home if he beats Thor..no matter how strong Hulk is, he is powerless in space.
also that music when Hela is in her full costume, I'm sure i heard it Before on Batman vs Superman and Wonder Woman trailer too ..
Wasn't Hulk incapable of picking up Thor's hammer on Earth as well? I thought I remembered that from Age of Ultron.
Anyway, this trailer looks awesome, from the music to Hemsworth, to Goldblum, Blanchett, and the main event, Gladiator on Steroids. Wasn't a big Thor fan in the past but this is going to be fun.
I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. Reviewed the trailer here- https://youtu.be/iCaidEPANas
Not a superhero movie fan, but that trailer was f*cking FUN! "He's a friend from work!" And Jeff Goldblum automatically adds a star to any movie's rating. (And the retro logo and classic rock soundtrack are clearly borrowed from GotG, and that's a good thing.)

Actually that was in the first Avengers in the fight on the ship Thor threw Mjolnir at Hulk.. Hulk tried picking it up which allowed Thor to pummel him.

BTW, Tessa Thompson is one good-looking chick.
