Discuss Doctor Strange

I enjoyed his putting on the damaged watch at the end. Accepting the beauty in its flaws.

What i didn't get is how did he manage to spend ALL his money? He said he spent the last of it on a one way ticket to Nepal? Top surgeon in his field? And one way ticket to Nepal ruined him?

I know they put the token line there by Christine that he always spends almost as soon as he earns it, but still...

ah, never mind, i think questioning a movie like that is a sure sign it's time for some brain maintenance for me. I'll go sit in a quiet corner.

It's because of what you said below

I know they put the token line there by Christine that he always spends almost as soon as he earns it, but still...

And he also spent a ton of money consulting other very expensive specialists like himself before realising it was futile.

Also accepting that he can't fix everything, doesn't need to fix everything.

I loved the scene where he's looking for the Ancient One's place and the thugs try to rob him. When they want his watch and Strange said "please, don't take the watch. It's all I have left.", it was great (in a way) to see him not willing to give up the watch, to see him so humbled.
