Yeah but it just felt too forced this time around.
The first one had a good flow to the jokes and banter, also felt very natural overall. In the second it felt very unnatural, was trying way too hard to make the audience laugh and even Drax didn't feel like the same character like his comedy is supposed to come from him not connecting the dots and in this one he felt like the Chandler Bing or Jerry Seinfeld of the group.

This is what worried me. You can tell in the trailers that Drax was going to be dreadful, I was hoping all of his terrible lines would just be in the trailer and would be canceled out by how great Yondu, Star Lord, Rocket & Groot are...

It didn't have the fun aspect of the first one but I can't say that I was overly disappointed. It felt a bit episodic.

Too much emphasis on humor, rather than plot/story.

Yep, totally agree with you. Been saying the same to my friends, that this is on Iron Man 3 disappointment level.

Ho Boy...I'm all for humor, and the first one did it right. Had faith in Gunn he'd do it again. What to do, what to do?

I'd recommend going in with low expectations, if you're a fan of the first one.
Worst case scenario, you'll leave the theater with some laughs and little else.
Best case scenario, you like the movie, and I'm an idiot.

Iron Man 3 was really good. Do you mean Iron Man 2?

I meant 3. I didn't care for 2 either.

The whole thing was pretty much what I was afraid the first film would be.
The first one surprised me, though.
