Don't forget pre-releases/advanced screenings/test screenings! I once saw a movie about a year before it premiered and had to fill in a survey etc! I'm actually curious how it turned out in the end.. but I didn't see it in cinemas later.
But yeah, agreed, some people just rate it because "they like the main star" "the trailer was good" or "are fan of the franchise" whatever XD
There have been press screenings. But movie sites are for the votes of the general public, not for journalist ratings. So yeah, rating should be disabled untill general release.
don't fixate so much on ratings... what people think about movies usually has nothing to do with the rating... they like what they like regardless of rating... guardians is no exception...
for example, the first was highly rated, but i thought it was mediocre and most of my friends loved it... it's one of their favourite movies...
Uh oh. Early reviews from the press screenings are mixed and quite a few are saying that it's not superior to GOTGV1. Then again it's a hard movie to beat.
Movie got released on 24th of April over here in Australia and I think it got early release in other countries as well (not 100% sure).
On a side note saw the movie. I Expect the reactions to be very mixed. I personally didn't dig it as much as the first and thought it was disappointing overall. With that being said the movie ain't bad I'd probably give it a 6/10 (3/5) but yeah I don't really have any desire to watch it again anytime soon. Saw it with two other friends, they liked it a tiny bit more than I did but agreed with most of the issues I had with the film. We all agreed the first is much better.
Just transferred from imdb. Never really posted on there but seriously miss the message boards.
Yes saw this last night at Clacton cinema film was very good a 7 from me and 7 is very high rating for me the first also got a 7 to.
I like Rocket best.
isn't it interesting that people from the US have difficulty believing that a movie could possibily get released somewhere in the world before it's US release!

They should be used to it as it happens with EVERY Marvel movie.

Trolls always mark MCU movies down before release.

Thanks, it looks like a good alternative to imdb and I actually prefer the layout on here.

It's released in other countries before us 'cuz of the time difference.
It's Greenwich Mean Time over there, already.

time difference is bullshit, a release a week before USA has nothing to do with time zones
GotG2 has been in Dutch cinemas a week already (April 27)
