Discuss The Shawshank Redemption

Item: Os Condenados de Shawshank

Language: pt-PT

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: The correct tagline in pt-PT is: O medo pode aprisionar-te a esperança, liberta-te. (The field is locked and therefore can't be edited.)

I couldn't find a poster from 1995, but this is the tagline which appears in the DVD cover.

Sorry to bother you again, but the tagline is: O medo pode aprisionar-te a esperança, liberta-te.

It might not be a literal translation, but it is what appears in the DVD.

If I understand correctly, your second correction is due to the fact that I put a full stop in the 2 sentences and started the second sentence with a capital letter.
It seems to me to be 2 sentences.
On the cover of the DVD you posted the link, it also appears to be 2 sentences.
The fact that they are in capital letters and have no end point, I believe it is only induced by the visual / aesthetic layout / production.
Staying with a single sentence can induce the reader to understand that:
Fear can trap hope. So, free yourself.
Instead of: Fear imprisons you. Hope sets you free.
But as the speaker of the language -Country is you, I believe that you must resolve.
The field remains unlocked.

The DVD cover shows a period at the end of the sentence and a comma after esperança. It might not be a correct translation from the original — as I said earlier — but unfortunately it is what appears in the DVD cover.

Thanks.
