I just saw it last night and the movie was wonderfully weird! I love weird movies and I like Guy Ritchie's style in General. His style is very prevalent in this movie and you get loads of weirdness and plenty of strange imagery. The action is good and the score is kickass but the movie as a whole isn't perfect. I didn't really get attached to any of the characters much and there were parts where I didn't get what was happening precisely. Overall it's worth seeing if you've got nothing else to do but you don't necessarily have to make time for it.

So, did the trailer reflect what we'll see onscreen?
The trailer made it look so bad.

The marketing for this movie was terrible. It's no where near that bad. It's actually quite funny and has plenty of magic in it too.

Maybe I'll check it out on DVD, then.

What happened to Guy Ritchie? He has gone downhill since the Sherlock films. He needs to go back to his roots. The man from Uncle was very forgettable. I guess Downey is too busy with Marvel films to bother with Sherlock Holmes. I enjoyed Game of Shadows.

I saw it too. Seemed like they spent an awful lot of money to put special effects and style into this but in the end it just kinda drowned out the source material.
I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/AkM3BU5swmg

It's social suicide to admit that you enjoyed Game of Shadows.

That's just the information I was looking for, last one I saw they just turned it into a pure drama with no fantasy at all, so this is nice.

This was good popcorn entertainment but the 2004 version had a better cast and a better story.
This was too fantastical, the sword acting as a wand. But as said, still enjoyable if it's not taken seriously.
