Named after a crappy car from the 90's

What do you mean about no one over 30 worked on it?

Filmed back in 2014. So bad that after test screenings they cancelled the release and sent it back for reshoots last year. Written by the director, who also wrote Universal Soldier, Independence Day: Resurgence, and the 1998 Godzilla. I have high expectations.

This is a film that belonged on the SciFi channel and will prove irresistible to Rifftrax and the new MST3K.

@AUSFEM Geo Stroms were tiny horrible pesudo sports cars. I live in Chicago and in the winter, driving one of these things were horrid, you were better off catching the bus.

I don't know if he was confused by the car reference, DrJ, but by the title of this thread. I think I get it now, but it's pretty obtuse. I assume you were trying to make a joke about "no one over 30" because the movie is named after a much-loathed, cheap car from within the past 30 years. And yes, the Geo Storm was a real POS and therefore a fitting title for a movie that doesn't deserve anyone's hard-earned dollars.

Gerard Butler really has turned into the Eric Roberts of his generation.

That's why I had no idea what the car was about, I live in Australia.

Re ref Gerard Butler, no way, he's still very popular, lots of female fans still smiley

I didn't say that he was unattractive to the ladies. That'd just be stupid. Only that he doesn't seem to have a filter that prevents him from taking roles in crappy movies. The problem is that Hollywood will likely stop casting him in A-level films and he'll be consigned to act in these types of movies for the rest of his career. Roberts was considered an up-and-comer early in his career, but when he didn't catch on he pretty much became the go-to guy for B-grade action films.

Although I'm a big fan of his I do pick and chose the movies he makes. To be honest some of them are dreadful. But I will watch Geostorm because I love SciFi and Gerard being the star is a plus for me.. I'll wait and see before I make a comment on it. relaxed

300 was good. I can't think of anything else he was in that was good. Law Abiding Citizen almost gets there.

This movie has been good enough for me to enjoy; I've seen it two times and I'm going to see it again! For entertainment; it's great! Explosions; good action and good sci-fi effects!

Watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it Lots of action etc etc.. Great disaster movie..

I liked the Godzilla with Matthew Broderick. Independence Day (the first one) and Universal Soldier were good, but Geostorm sucked.

Was it the hot blond you didn't like?

Im pretty sure that Gerard Butler is over 30. And so is Ed Harris and Andy Garcia. For the movie itself it was O.K.. Not great, But ive seen worse. It has some amount of entertainment value. That more then i can say for some other movies.

Just watching this and can't understand why good actors like Andy Garcia and Ed Harris appeared in this rubbish. In passing - I have never seen one woman mouth to a man about another woman "she's hot". Women aren't that emotionally generous. PC rules as usual.

I had a girlfriend who said that to me once. Once. Wait, now that I think about it, maybe twice, but only two times. As far as the actors, they might have been the reason why the movie was watchable.
