Discuss Frankenhooker

I love this film. It's sleazy, funny and camp, it has a lawnmower death, hookers exploding on super-crack, a great '80s look about it with purple lightning electrodes and the adorable Patty Mullen as the titular Frankenhooker - all awkward walk and spazzing facial expressions with the curious naivety of the recently revived-from-the-dead...

This is a real guilty pleasure film, a proper cult flick that flew fairly low under the radar, but for all it's bad acting and general shoddyness I love the charm of it all.

If you get the chance, the bluray release from Arrow is crystal clear...

Sounds like a winner. I love that type of film, but only if it's well made. (For instance, I cannot STAND Troma films, but find many of Corman's classic movies eminently watchable.) If it has any of From Beyond or Re-Animator's vibe, I'm there.

I'll be honest, it's not quite up there with From Beyond or Re-Animator - both great examples of '80s horror classics... But it does have a heart that I think I know what you mean lacks in the troma films... Like I said, it's my guilty pleasure...

I love this interpretation of Frankenstein's bride. Very funny. The bookers start exploding. Jesus what a great scene
