Discuss Inception

I get tired of the formulaic movies, but this was entirely different. I enjoyed it even better the second time. I think of this movie when I think of movies that push boundaries.

there are plenty of books how to get familiar with lucid dreaming of you are serious about it, i experienced it by accident few times, but sadly my will ain't that strong so could not stay there long time

lucid dreaming is scary..well for me like brain was awake but could not move and was hearing noise...only if the dream was in a fun place instead of bedroom lol I'd be okay. or maybe just a nightmare hehe

In "Inception" they can go down many levels till they end up in limbo. I can barely get to the first level. slight_frown

I particularly enjoyed that they paid homage to OHMSS, my favourite Bond, in this!

i knew is not reality so in one of them enjoyed great fucking (few dead bodies in other room and nobody giving fuck about that was good hint it's dream :)), in few others flying and high jumps (like 50 meters high) and safe landing, but in total i think i had less than 10 lucid dreams in my life

This movie is definitely worth multiple viewings because of all its nuances. And after watching it countless of times, I still haven't changed my opinion that it is indeed a masterpiece of film making. The story, plot, characters, the premise, visual effects, practical effects and that beautiful musical score is why Inceptiom remains one if my all time favorite movies. It's pure art.

I don't know

I bought it the first time I saw it. It was different and cool.

But whenever I try to watch it again, I just can't get into it. And I wanted to.

For me, this is a good movie for 1 viewing and doesn't have much rewatch value.

But it is pretty good.

I cannot believe that you just said that. The directing is superb! The world Nolan created is pure genius. The intro shows how extraction and dream sharing works. And then the rest of the movie goes into depth step by step. It's amazing story telling. You can't even see the hard work involved. Even predicting what will happen next is difficult. Usually there is foreshadowing within the story. This one does not because Ariadne does it for us. That zero gravity fight sequence with Arthur is amazing. The ending is up for debate. I personally think that Cobb was still dreaming because his kids are wearing the same clothes they did when left them and hasn't aged much in any. Sure the plot gets complicated but doesn't stay that way because of the writing explains everything through the events and dialog between the characters.

You must not like science fiction or something?

I liked it a lot the first time I saw it. I was impressed and did very much enjoy the creation of the dream world. But I've tried to view it again, and just couldn't get into it. Perhaps it's one of those movies I have to just be in the mood for.

Yeah get in the mood to see a fantastic thriller.

It's great. Every time I watch it, I understand it more, and notice more things. I thought it was really complicated the first time around.
