Why they shot both of them in the end, also the wife? Did they really think he was escaping? It seemed pretty clear they just wanna meet before shooting, so I didn't understand the response at all, they could just let them hug and then either shoot him or both, if wife would not let go. Why not notify her properly, so she can meet him one last time, isn't it allowed as part of punishment?
