The reason: We try to keep the old TMDb IDs in the database. Of course, if it's not too much work to move everything.

Also, just for your information:

When you have a movie that was released in different countries with different titles, you have to create different languages for those titles. It's not correct to put 1 title into the alternative section in this case. It's a bit tricky to achieve this -> you have to change the language in which you browse TMDb very briefly. I assume you browse in English -> but you can always switch the language preference with the button in the right upper corner.

Example:

1. You browse in English. So you create the English translation by default automatically: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/262885-elskovsleg/edit?active_nav_item=primary_facts&language=en-US
   
2. The Danish title here is "Elskovsleg". So you need a Danish translation by switching to Danish: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/262885-elskovsleg/edit?active_nav_item=primary_facts&language=da-DK
   
3. The German title here is "Liebelei". So you need a German translation by switching to German: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/262885-elskovsleg/edit?active_nav_item=primary_facts&language=de-DE
