Not sure why you would have a panic room and not have your phone set up in there to call the Supers why even have a panic room if going to it is not the first plan of action in a emergency. The villain in Incredibles 2 blames all Supers for her dad not using any common sense.

LOL you said you didn't want to give anything away but by adding in the "her father was an idiot for not using the damned panic room." line clearly gives it away in one of the first couple of scenes.
