During the scene when Sally is in the shower:
"Don't hurt her...not yet." "I want to." "Wait until tomorrow." "Let me just scare her." "Alright, then scare her!"
What did they do to Sally when they got hold her?

I saw this for the first time last year. Honestly, I thought it would be laughable, but it was truly an engaging and eerie little film - I certainly didn't see that ending coming - and I can well understand why it seems to have left a deep impression on many who saw it as children.
It's led me to explore more of these 70's made-for-TV horror/supernatural films.

I watched this film several times by the time I was 12 years old and it left an impression on me. Even today, I still sometimes get a creepy feeling if I'm in a dark room or late at night if I think I heard something. If you visited the message board for Don't Be Afraid of the Dark on IMDB before it closed down 2/20/17 there were a couple of message threads of people discussing this. Here's the link if it works here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069992/board/thread/13037865
