I explain what my definition of a "sleeper" movie is on a list of 20 that I made (see link below) off the top of my head. I know I will think of more, but was hoping some of you would share your "sleepers" and let me know if you have seen some of mine. My list really has no movies on it from the 30's/40's/50's because really other then the big name classics I only see what TCM provides. I have no way of knowing if those were sleeper films or not. I look forward to people sharing some.

The Silent Partner, like many of my sleepers, was a movie that years ago I rented from my local video store when I had seen almost everything else. Elliot Gould plays kind of a timid play it safe in life bank teller. Christopher Plummer plays a different kind of bad guy. Susannah York as always shows her beauty. I always wish she would have gotten more meaty roles, or even more roles period. Rarely would I say that a great line in a movie was an expletive, but in this movie it applies.
