Maybe it is just me who is alone on this but just as I would watch Home Alone, A Christmas story at Christmas or Trick R treat on Halloween, I watch Dutch every Thanksgiving. It is a film that is really under appreciated but it had great performance and a real holiday atmosphere. Apparently it was a huge flop at the Box Office and John Hughes who wrote it was very bitter about the film failure so much that he stopped his friendship with Ed O'Neil (Hughes was a genius writer but he had quite an unforgiving nature) but even with all that I really love that film and I get teary eyes every time at the scene with Doyle talking to the homeless lady at the shelter. They really should push this film more on TV as essential Thanksgiving viewing.
