A bit late, but it is still sad! He was a pretty great Bond, though not all liked his tenure. Brought something unique to the character. Plus, I feel like Live and Let Die was his funniest turn as Bond. His one-liners were on point the entire film!

@mav100000 spy I think Sir Roger did great in For Your Eyes Only, The Spy Who Loved Me, and A View To A Kill. The only thing I like in Live And Let Die is the music.

That is fair. Eyes Only has always been a favorite of mine. Never could stand View myself, and Spy was great but I find it just a bit overrated. Drags in the beginning. Still, I think he was great in them, though I will argue that even during Eyes Only he was probably too old, and definitely too old for Octo and View!

Never saw this reported anywhere....thats sad. He really brought in the playboy, ladies man image to the bond character although it took away front the toughness of the character as well. Did he ever take a bullet as the Bond character?

I don't believe he did. I think only Connery and Craig took bullets. Craig took a shot in the shoulder in the Skyfall in the opening and Connery took one to the calf in Thunderball at the parade.

Craig also took torture to the nuts.....that was enough for me 🤣

Connery almost did, in the film.

@shallowhal grin Yes, who could forget one of the best Bond in peril scenes ever!
