Discuss La Bíblia

Beats me why this movie isn't better known or regarded. Altho the pacing in parts is off the mark it really is an excellent piece of work. The cinematography and sets and lighting and the other technical aspects are breathtaking. For younger film goers who have grown up in an age of digital effects this really bears discovery to see what can be achieved in an analogue fashion. Imo it is one of the greatest technical achievements in movie making.

It's hard to rate acting in this sort of story. There is no room for actors to interpret or embellish. They must work within the material. Even so, most of it is handled well. Scott does go a bit overboard at times, and Gardner is peculiarly wooden, but otherwise it all works the way it should. Huston himself is wonderful as Noah.
