Discuss Day of the Woman

The wild tagline to this film goes (this is a paraphrasing) “This woman has just butchered and killed four men... yet no jury would ever convict her!"

It kind of makes one wonder what was done to her to earn that treatment, no?

Things that make you go hmmmmmm

Yes, which was precisely the point!

And, yes, I rooted for her (in both this one, and the I Spit on Your Grave (2010) remake) - those punks all got what they had coming to them.

In other news, I thought The Last House on the Left (2009) was a take on this movie; turns out, there was an original The Last House on the Left in 1972. Now I want to watch the 2009 version.

Add to that: the original LHOTL was based on Bergman's The Virgin Spring

Just checked out The Virgin Spring page. Yep, you nailed it.

I wonder, what is the fascination with this plot line?

mech, you just keep surprising me. When I saw your name in the thread, I automatically assumed that you'd commented on Camille Keaton's tushie on the Day of the Woman film's art. Instead, you pulled out Ingmar Bergman info on us.

Given the content of DOTW, it's hard to find the scenes Camille Keaton's frequently bared body particularly sexy, as fun as she is to look at, objectively speaking

Right, but you almost always work another reference to an actress’s nude body into every post… it’s something I’ve come to expect from you.
