There are no words to describe how much I love everything about this super cheesy 80s movie. It embodied everything that was great about 80s teen movies that I loved.

This is one of those movies that's so bad, it's good! There are so many things wrong with it (lack of plot, weird scenes, random musical numbers). I always thought it was weird how the ending didn't resolve anything. Was Louise ever going to make up with her friend? Did she actually give up her powers? Was she still going to be popular?

hahaha. Thank you for getting the conversation started on this gem. I saw it when I was a kid and forgot all about it, then was reminded about it by an episode of the How Did This Get Made? podcast.
One thing they noted on the podcast episode was how insanely over-the-top the younger brother's acting is. His line reads are ridiculous.

Well it was supposed to be a female Teen Wolf, so I think it's clear that the writers had no idea what they wanted to do. Was it a musical? Was it a romantic comedy? Was it a parody of some sort? I think the answer is yes to all of the above.
As for the unresolved plots, I think Louise and her friend made up, she remained popular, kept dating Brad, and was still a witch.
It always stings just a little when I listen to How did this get made and they do a movie I love, but Jason loved it.
Robyn Lively is Blake Lively's sister and I think she quit acting to raise her kids.

Yeah, it's so odd to me, probably because of the huge age difference.

I always thought it was fun. The story needed a rewrite since it was suppose to be a musical. Still very 80s fun
