Not as good as I'd hoped

The guy at the gas station sees dead bodies in the truck, and then does nothing about it? Arletty finds that three people have broken into her father's house, and then she just lets them stay there as guests? I get that this movie was supposed to have sort of a dreamy/surreal quality to it, but there were just too many things that bugged me. The ending was also a let down.

I really liked this movie, the movie theater scene was awesome.
But, the plot is nonsensical at times, the editing is strange, the story heads in one direction, then moves into another direction leaving huge plot holes and yes the ending was a miss.
Even with all those critiques, there is some surreal, quirky magic going on, and I love it.

I agree it had great atmosphere and story. I wish it had a sequel
