It's rumoured existence has never been more than hearsay... one of the great legendary 'lost' sequences in cinema history, or an urban legend? We may never know, but this sequence - said by some to have been cut due to being too terrifying - certainly got, at the very least, as far as the planning stages, and made it into the novelisation and also a 1933 radio serial adaptation of the movie.
